Email Invoices
Email invoicing lets GMR sell without having to go through the online store.
Buyers can place orders by phone, fax, email, or other offline means. GMR will then send email invoices to the buyers to submit payment via Google Checkout.
Email invoices contain a personalized message from GMR regarding the requested payment as well as a “Pay now through Google Checkout” link. When buyers click this link, they are brought to Google Checkout where they can complete the payment process.
GMR can process standard invoices or process recurring charges by sending Google Checkout email invoices directly to you.
Note: Invoices cannot exceed $10,000. High transaction amounts may also involve greater scrutiny to help ensure a safe and secure shopping environment for buyers and sellers.
Tracking Invoices
After sending the buyer an email invoice, the new order will only appear in the GMR Merchant Center “Orders Inbox” after the buyer has clicked the link in the email invoice and authorized the payment.
Occasionally, spam filters incorrectly classify valid emails as spam. If the buyer isn’t receiving emails from Google Checkout, please review our troubleshooting tips.
Troubleshooting Tips
I’m not receiving email from Google Checkout. Why is this?
If you’re not receiving email from Google Checkout, first confirm you’ve specified the correct contact email address on the Settings tab of your Google account. After you’ve confirmed the email is being sent to the correct email address, check the spam folder in your email account. Occasionally, spam filters incorrectly classify valid emails as spam.
To ensure you receive email from Google Checkout, please add the following addresses to your address book:
- noreply@checkout.google.com
- noreply@checkout.l.google.com
Policies
As outlined in the Google CheckOut Terms of Service, all buyers making purchases through Google Checkout must first create their own Google Account. If they don’t already have an account, buyers can sign up for Google Checkout during the purchase process.
Google will cancel and refund all Google Checkout orders from buyers who haven’t completed this signup process.
Oops Errors
If the buyer receives an “Oops” error when trying to access Google Checkout from the email invoice we sent, their email client may have truncated your unique link address. The buyer should try accessing the email invoice from a different email application.
