Dr. Leon van Rooyen (President)
The ministry of Dr. Leon van Rooyen has spanned more than 30 years and 5 continents. He has served as a missionary, pastor, teacher, evangelist, church planter, relief worker, apostolic leader, and is the Founding President of Global Ministries and Relief. In everything that he does, Dr. Leon promotes a love for God, a loyalty to the Church, and a passion for souls. He is committed to raising up servant-leaders in the Body of Christ. Global Ministries and Relief (GMR) was birthed out of this vision.
Rev. Peter Innes (Director of Australasia and Communications)
Trained as a missionary and minister of the Gospel, Peter has a heart for God, the Church, the lost, and the unreached marketplace. He loves the Word of God and the ministry of the Holy Spirit and is passionate about strengthening and encouraging believers and building up the Body of Christ. He also assists GMR with its technology strategy and roadmap and is involved in enabling the ministry to use technology more effectively.
Rev. Dorothyann White (Director of Canada, Missions and Relief)
It has been 10 years since Dorothyann began to serve within the organization of Global Ministries and Relief. During this time, she has been involved in many areas of the ministry which include the registration of GMR Canada as a non-profit organization. She has held several fundraisers to help raise awareness and financial support for hundreds of orphans as well as other humanitarian relief projects in impoverished regions of the world. She has also led and organized various short-term missions trips to a number of countries. These trips have included preaching, teaching, training leaders and students, frontline evangelism, renovations to orphanages, and humanitarian relief. Over the years, she has been engaged in extensive ministry in hospitals and clinics preaching the Word and praying for the sick, and as a result, she has seen some mighty manifestations of God’s power being released and people being healed.
Wendie Innes (Director of Prayer)
A creative and practical hands-on leader, Wendie is skilled in the areas of discipleship, effective prayer, and pastoral counseling. She has seen many broken lives changed through her anointed ministry. She is filled with love, godly wisdom and insight, and has a remarkable servant leadership gift that easily draws people together where they can grow in their relationship with God.
Rachael Osborne (Director of “Global Harvest” – an eZine dedicated to promoting world harvest and missions endeavors)
Rachael Osborne joined Global Ministries and Relief in 2010 as a world missionary and editor. The Lord has instilled in her a deep love for the nations, and she desires to see every believer take part in advancing the Gospel to the ends of the earth. In 2008, the Lord called her to Ethiopia for a short-term missions trip, and she has returned to a different part of Africa for ministry each year since. Some of her plans with the ministry include helping Dr. Leon write and research material for his books, assisting with the strategy to equip one million world-changers through the eBible Institute, traveling to the nations for ministry, and then communicating to the Church firsthand the exciting things God is doing in world missions. Currently, she is working on the first issue of GMR’s new eZine, a project to be launched this spring.
